{"id":15,"date":"2020-03-01T13:24:05","date_gmt":"2020-03-01T12:24:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onlinebewerbung.erasmuspraktika.de\/wordpress\/?page_id=15"},"modified":"2026-02-25T12:26:20","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T11:26:20","slug":"auslandspraktikum","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/auslandspraktikum\/","title":{"rendered":"Internship abroad"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading aim-section\" id=\"foerderfaehige-personen\">Eligible persons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants can receive funding in a <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/programmlaender\/programmlaender\/\">programme country<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/programmlaender\/#partnerlaender\">partner country.<\/a> The country where students carry out their mobility has to be different from the country of the sending institution and the country where students have their primary residence during their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The prerequisite for a scholarship is enrolment at a <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/auslandspraktikum\/#partnerhochschulen\">university of the consortium<\/a>. The students need to absolve a full study program in Germany leading to a recognized degree. Student mobility is possible in all fields of study and all cycles.<br>Guest and exchange students are not eligible to receive an ERASMUS grant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The following must apply before starting the internship:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:19%\">\n<p>Bachelor's degree programs:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:81%\">\n<p>At least the first two semesters of the regular study cycle must have been successfully completed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:19%\">\n<p>Master's degree programs:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:81%\">\n<p>Can be funded as of the first semester.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:19%\">\n<p>Doctorate:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:81%\">\n<p>A confirmation by the university needs to be submitted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Graduate Students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Graduates can be funded via ERASMUS+ within a period of 12 months after exmatriculation. The prerequisite for a scholarship is a completed degree programme at one of the consortium's universities. Participants must have completed a full course of study in Germany and have a recognised degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The online application must be submitted before deregistration (Exmatrikulation).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group hintergrund-blau\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading aim-section\" id=\"foerderfaehige-praktika\">Eligible internships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The following internships can be funded:<\/strong>:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mandatory internships (e.g. internship semester)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Voluntary internships<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practical part of a thesis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong> Internship duration (long term mobility):<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From 60 days to a maximum of 360 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"lightweight-accordion has-text-color has-background\"><details><summary class=\"lightweight-accordion-title\" style=\"color:#9a1919;background:#ffd706;\"><span><strong>Exception: blended short term mobility<\/strong><\/span><\/summary><div class=\"lightweight-accordion-body\" style=\"border-color:#ffd706;\">\n\n<p><strong>Blended short term mobility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doctoral candidates and students with fewer opportunities, who are unable to take part in a long-term physical mobility activity for study purposes, can participate in a short physical mobility activity combined with a <u><u>mandatory<\/u><\/u> virtual component (equivalent to 3 ECTS). For doctoral candidates the virtual component is not mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following barriers \u2013 individually or in combination \u2013 can impede a participation in a long-term physical mobility:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Disability (physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health problems (health issues including severe illnesses, chronic diseases, or any other physical or mental health-related situation)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barriers linked to education and training systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural differences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social barriers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economic barriers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barriers liked to discrimination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geographical barriers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please indicate any barriers you might be facing during the internship due to the above-mentioned aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">More information: <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/programme-guide\/part-a\/priorities-of-the-erasmus-programme\" target=\"_self\">https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/programme-guide\/part-a\/priorities-of-the-erasmus-programme<\/a><\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Recurrent funding:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bachelor:<\/strong>  Erasmus internship and\/or Erasmus study = 360 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Master:<\/strong>  Erasmus internship and\/or Erasmus study = 360 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Doctorate:<\/strong>  Erasmus internship and\/or Erasmus study = 360 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This refers to calender days. Hence, Sundays and holidays are included. Every month is equal to 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being funded in the Erasmus+ internship program is possible during the bachelor's and master\u2019s degree as well as the doctorate degree. A total of 360 days of funding period (including \"Zero Grant\" = no financial support) are available to each student. This period can be divided into several study and\/or internship periods, i.e., several shorter internships can be done in different companies during each study cycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the case of being funded after completing the degree (graduate), the funding period of the previous study cycle is taken into account when calculating the remaining funding period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><br>180 days of Erasmus studies + 90 days of Erasmus internship = 270 days of funding during the studies, thus 90 days remain for Erasmus funding as a graduate.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading aim-section\" id=\"einrichtungen\">Institutions for internships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Examples of host institutions for internships:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Public and private small, medium or large companies (including public service companies) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local, regional or national public bodies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Social partners or other representatives of the labor market (including chambers of commerce, craft or professional associations and trade unions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research institutions\/universities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foundations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schools\/Institutes\/Educational centers (from pre-school through upper secondary level, including institutions for vocational training and adult education)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-profit organisations, associations, non-governmental organisations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Career guidance, counseling and information centers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The following organisations are not eligible as host institutions for internships:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EU institutions and bodies (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (\u00f6ffnet in neuem Tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/about-eu\/institutions-bodies_de\" target=\"_blank\">full list<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agencies and other EU bodies (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"vollst\u00e4ndige Liste (\u00f6ffnet in neuem Tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/european-union\/about-eu\/agencies_de\" target=\"_blank\">full list<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-default\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Find an internship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To support you in your search for an internship, we have compiled a collection of internship platforms. (<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/bewerbung\/\" target=\"_self\">Application process<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the intended internship last at least 60 days?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the intended internship related to the field of study and beneficial to the student obtaining a degree?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" translation-block\">Does the university recommend and endorse the internship? This is confirmed by the signature of the university (sending institution) on the learning agreement (<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/downloads\/\" target=\"_self\">Downloads<\/a>). Graduates who would like to receive funding after completing their studies need the signature of their former university on the document!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is the internship done full-time?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" translation-block\">Will the internship be done in a <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/auslandspraktikum\/#einrichtungen\" target=\"_self\">company or organisation<\/a> where funding can be provided?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the company have more permanent employees than interns (exception: non-profit organisation)?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" translation-block\">Will the internship be financially remunerated by the receiving organisation (company)? And if so, does the remuneration exceed the <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/foerderung\/\">financing<\/a>?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\" translation-block\">Does sufficient insurance coverage exist at the start of the internship? (<a href=\"https:\/\/erasmuspraktika.de\/en\/auslandspraktikum\/#versicherung\" target=\"_self\">Insurance<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A part-time internship in combination with studying at a European university can be funded as part of the Erasmus+ program student mobility for studies. Applications have to be submitted via the the International Offce\/ International Center of the home university.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group hintergrund-blau\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading aim-section\" id=\"versicherung\">Compulsory insurances<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Erasmus+ scholarship does not provide an insurance coverage.<\/strong>&nbsp;Neither the EU Commission, the National Agency DAAD nor the Agency for International Higher Education Mobility Rhineland-Palatinate are liable for damage resulting from illness, death, accident, personal injury, loss or damage to property in connection with an Erasmus+ stay abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">The Agency for International Higher Education Mobility Rhineland-Palatinate is obliged to ensure that the recipients of funding have adequate insurance cover. For this reason, it is necessary that you provide information on <strong>health, liability and accident insurance<\/strong> in the application form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">A <strong>liability insurance<\/strong> covers damages caused by the student during his\/her stay abroad (independently whether he\/she is at work or not).\nThe <strong>accident insurance<\/strong> is related to the activity and must at least cover damages to the participant resulting from accidents at work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants should be in possession of a European health insurance card. This free card gives you access to medically necessary public health services in EU countries as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, under the same conditions and costs as the citizens of the respective country. Further information can be found at&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?catId=559\" target=\"_blank\">ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>For internships\/internship stays, it is compulsory to have both an accident and a liability insurance for possible damages caused by the student at work.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>All participants in the Erasmus+ program (including graduates) have the option of being included in the group insurance of the DAAD, which offers comprehensive insurance cover.<br>For further information, please contact the&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.daad.de\/de\/im-ausland-studieren-forschen-lehren\/stipendien-finanzierung\/daad-versicherungen\/versicherung-im-ausland\/\" target=\"_blank\">DAAD Insurance Office.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading aim-section\" id=\"sonderfoerderung\">Top-ups for participants with fewer opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Participants with child(ren), disabilities (GdB &gt; 20), chronic deseases who face additional costs abroad, first generation students and working students can receive an <strong>additional monthly allowance of \u20ac250 <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eu.daad.de\/infos-fuer-einzelpersonen\/foerderung-fuer-studierende-und-graduierte\/sonderfoerderung\/de\/\">https:\/\/eu.daad.de\/infos-fuer-einzelpersonen\/foerderung-fuer-studierende-und-graduierte\/sonderfoerderung\/de\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please inform the a.i.m. rlp about your situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple payment of the allowance is not possible, even if several criteria are met. A combination of real cost application (Realkostenantrag) and monthly allowance is only possible if several suitable criteria apply (e.g. allowance for first generation student and real cost application as a participant with child).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants with child<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the financial need, either a monthly allowance or \u2013 upon submission of a real costs application \u2013 support for additional costs that actually arise can be granted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are going abroad with a child, please state this in the declaration of honour in the application form and keep the child's travel documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your additional financial needs, you  can submit a personal real cost application (\u201cLangantrag\u201d) for additional funds of up to \u20ac15,000 per half-year at least 2 months before the start of the internship. To claim additional requirements, please contact a.i.m. rlp, which prepares the application with you and submits it to the NA DAAD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, you have the opportunity to apply for a trip for preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants with disabilities or chronic deseases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>students and graduates with disabilities (Gdb&gt;20) or chronic deseases can receive the additional funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Please provide the relevant information in the declaration on the application form and have supporting documents ready. This may be a certificate of incapacity or a medical certificate stating that you have <strong>additional financial needs abroad<\/strong> as a result of your chronic illness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your additional financial needs, you  can submit a personal real cost application (\u201cLangantrag\u201d) for additional funds of up to \u20ac15,000 per half-year at least 2 months before the start of the internship. The monthly income must be over 450 EUR and under 850 EUR. The employment must have been carried out in a relationship that is subject to social insurance contributions.
