Open-minded and friendly - despite the long Stalinist and Soviet rule, the Slovak population is considered very open-minded. The culture is characterised by songs, fairy tales, literature and art. Natural landscapes, mountains, caves, spas and world-famous ski resorts entice visitors to take a closer look and get to know the country. In addition, the Slovak Republic's accession to the EU (2004) and the emerging economy associated with it, offer good conditions for the future of education and employment in the country.
