Brexit and Erasmus+

Despite Brexit, mobilities to the UK will still be funded until May 31, 2023 (duration of the SUPER+ 2020 project).

Since January 2021 new visa regulations are in force, for more information click here:–erasmus-und-das-vereinigte-koenigreich/

If you are planning an internship in the UK, the visa application process requires that you submit your entire application to us at least 3 months before the start of the internship (this does not apply to research internships).

Additionally, the following documents need to be send by e-mail.

We will assist you with your visa application.
If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you.

Corona und Erasmus+

We are all very concerned about the current developments and measures to protect the population worldwide and especially in Europe.

Due to the current situation, our office remains closed to the public. Please use other communication channels such as telephone, fax or e-mail.

Applications for Erasmus+ internships are still accepted.

Please inform yourself at the Federal Foreign Office (e.g. with the Safe Travel App) about current travel warnings and entry conditions. If you start your internship and stay abroad, please register in the electronic registration system of the Federal Foreign Office for Germans abroad ("Elefand").
Should you end or interrupt your Erasmus stay prematurely or not be able to start your Erasmus stay at all due to the corona pandemic, the "Force Majeure" rule will apply in justified cases.
Please keep all receipts and information and contact a.i.m. rlp.

The DAAD has compiled a preliminary list of frequently asked questions on this topic:

Funding in Albania

Since 2019, Albania is a partner country of a.i.m. rlp. Therefore, full-time internships of 60 days or more in Albania can be funded and supported with 700€ per month, as well as an additional travel allowance.

Currently, there is also an ERASMUS partnership between the University of Tirana and the HS Worms.

You can find more information about Albania here.

DAAD Impact Study 2019

At the end of last year, the DAAD published a study on what German employers expect from university graduates. The study highlights the importance of experience abroad for the career success of graduates in the German labour market. This is a perfect confirmation of the importance of Erasmus internships.

There is an abridged version of the study, as well as fact sheets for students and universities.
