Over 700 nature reserves and 4 national parks in an area smaller than Bavaria. Latvia has a lot to offer in terms of landscape. Birdwatchers in particular get their money's worth in Latvia. The country in the Baltic region is home to an incredible number of bird species. Some national parks are particularly suitable for observing the animals. The diversity of species goes far beyond birds. Black storks, beavers, brown bears, moose and wolves are just a few of the many animal species that populate Latvia's biotopes.
