Austria

The world's first postcards originated in Austria. As early as 1869, the first "correspondence cards", as they were called at the time, were sent. These were short and above all inexpensive messages.

With interesting and funny facts, a special cultural heritage, art in all its facets, history and beautiful landscapes, Austria also inspires beyond the usual clichés about Sissi, Mozart and Sachertorte. It is worth sending a postcard from here.
