Cyprus

Many people associate the name Cyprus with holiday thoughts. In fact, this is obvious, because Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean after Sardinia and Sicily, offers the longest summer season in Europe, beaches and clear sea water. Not only the coastal regions, but also the centre of the island with the Troodos Mountains and the 1,952-metre-high Mount Olympus, invite you to hike and discover.

Cyprus is in a special geographical position. The island forms the intersection of three continents and is both the most eastern and southern Mediterranean island. Cyprus has been de facto divided since 1974. While the south is ruled by the Republic of Cyprus, the northern part is under the control of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In recent years, smaller educational institutions have gained a good reputation, which is why the island also offers some interesting opportunities as a study and work destination.
